I just drove through Georgetown, DE last week on the way to Rehoboth; it's pretty much Judenrein. I'm all for taking on the Man, and I hope they win, but sometimes its better to just move to a Jewish neihgborhood.

Podcasting in the Sun
The Baltimore Sun appears to have been doing podcasts for a while, but it's new to me. Check out their offerings, which includes podcasts from Cal Ripken on youth sports, Michael Sragow on movies (Sragow is one of my personal favorites) and Troy McCullough on blogs and blogging. Good production quality, I'm subscribed!
(If you don't know how to subscribe to podcasts, get with it man; your best bet is to download iTunes...it's not just for people who have iPods, although it's a pretty clunky app).

My muse seems to be on temporary hiatus.
In the mean time, Jewboy (whose blog is still named Musings, which, while taking the place for my muse temporarily, is till a horrible blog name) has an a good post about the rising costs of tuition, family size, and the effect it has on birth control considerations. Good discussion in the comments.

Two good videos
Honda Diesel - Grr - surreal yet soothing. Finally, something from Garrison Keillor I can enjoy.
OK GO - A Million Ways To Be Cruel - I hadn't heard of OK GO, although I've heard the "Get Over It" song, anyway, this video is amazing. I've done any number of single-shot, intricately choreographed, 4-plus minute dance ensemble videos before, and believe me when I tell you, they're no piece of cake.

Out with the old...
In lieu of actually contributing something new, I went through my archives and found a whole bunch of unfinished posts that I never published, for some reason. Here's a list, in no particular order, for those of you who just can't get enough:
- Too Big a Lie (Dec. 24, 2004) - thoughts on historical truth and proofs for the divine origin of the Torah.
- "Yes, but I've been out to sea for a long time." (Dec 29, 2004) - after seeing The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou.
- J-Tech (Jan 3, 2005) - thoughts on the religious implications of technology, capitalism and the messianic age.
- I Speak for The Trees (Jan 31, 2005) - after attending my first Tu B'Shevat seder.
- This is not 'Nam. There are rules! (March 20, 2005) - on Amalek, and why we don't like them so much. Also, with the title, I somehow found a way to connect Parshas Zachor to The Big Lebowski. I'd like to think Ethan would be proud.
- Da'as Torah (Nov 2, 2005) - after voting in 2004, and the bliss of surrendering control.
Non-Halachic Man (Sep 27, 2004) - Me vs. The Rav. - inferior duplicate of this post.
- The Meaning of the Trial of the Sotah (Mar 29, 2004) - an old, old post about something to do with Sotah and the fact that Adam and Adamah have most of their letters in common.
- Movies, Movies, Movies (Sep. 24, 2003) - Confessions of a Dangerous Mind and the pursuit of the perfect artisitic expression.
I really need to just write it and publish it, and not edit so much.
