Oorah Says "No" to Women

A message from the folks at Oorah:

I tried emailing yeswomen@oorah.org, but it bounced. I think there should be a third option: womeninburkas@oorah.org.

Have you noticed that the Yated and Hamodia don't carry any pictures of women? The closest I've come to seeing a picture of Hillary in the Yated was picture of Bill Clinton standing in front of a big Hillary sign.

Silly people.

I am pretty sure this isn't how things were supposed to be. G-d help us all. Seriously.

FYI, the advertiser is starting their new policy shortly in responce to reader requests. The new policy is that no females over the age of 7 will be allowed in their publication.

I emailed them saying that I was shocked and dismayed and considering withdrawing my support from their organization.

Here was their response to my email:
Oorah agrees with you & so do our Rabbonim. We are thinking of accommodating those communities (chasiddish) & individuals which have a different perspective & lifestyle.
