they made a mistake by not being open prior to superbowl sunday.

I had spoken to the owners on multiple occasions.

They are opening at their first opportunity given all the variables of opening a Kosher Subway. There are many more variables in opening a national franchise then a single restaurant.

They will look forward to many future Superbowls (without the Ravens again I guess).

Two things:

1.) Any possibility they'll be open by Feb. 14? We're passing through and spending the night. Dinner is David Chu's but it would be nice to get a sub for the drive home.

2.) Any blogging on the Beth Tefiloh/Howard Brown lawsuit? I think this is huge. I know your community by and large doesn't daven there but some send their kids there and some work there. In order to win their claim they essentially, it seems to me, have to admit they didn't do their own homework on the deals they made with Howard Brown. Doesn't sound good.

Charles: the only thing I've seen on the Howard Brown/Beth Tfiloh thing is from the Baltimore Jewish Times.

I've seen the Jewish Times article online, that's how I knew about it. I've done a blog search and no one is saying anything about it, just seems odd. Maybe because I'm a rabbi I see this as a bigger deal than other folks do. I'm sure I'll hear more about it next month when visiting B'more.
