Presence Poll: I Believe that the Universe...

Note: Unlike comments on this blog, I have no way of seeing your answer and correlating that to any kind of identifiable information. In other words, I can't see who is voting for what.

You forgot the choice: I don't know and if I try to think about it I think my head will explode.

I considered including an "Other" option, but decided against it; either make a choice or abstain.

I'm with Peninah.

I wrote about this a while ago. I'm fine with it not being 'historically' accurate, and with the various Creation medrashim relating to the same plane of reality as Genesis, if that is the case. But I'm fine with it being accurate and current science being proven inaccurate one day, as Aristotle was. I'm not placing any bets.

There are two histories that can be written about the a building. One history relates the step-by-step process going on in the Architect's mind and his drafting table, or of the mind of the one who commissions the architect for that matter. The other history relates to the physical digging of the foundation, pouring of the concrete, steel girders, etc.

If the two match up, that's fine. If they don't match up, that's also fine. I fault both sides of the current frum Scopes-trial environment for not seeing this position.

What the comments above said.

What is the value of a survey?
No one really knows "the" answer so who cares what everyone thinks?
Are we curious to see who thinks what just for the heck of it?
Are we testing the voting software?

I'm simply interested in seeing what the audience of this blog thinks.
