Dougie's (Express) Coming to Baltimore

Just so's you don't think I've lost my game: yes, I've heard the murmurings that a Dougie's (or Dougie's Express) is coming to Baltimore; that the deal is signed and will be announced soon. I'm working on getting in touch with those involved to see about getting some more concrete information. Meanwhile, all you hat-tip fiends, you know where to find me.

Yes, we were talking to the franchise owners over the Yom Tov. It is going to be a "mobile" Dougies. He's had an 80' truck customized into a restaurant kitchen and it will park in various locations (downtown for lunch, one night per week in Park Heights, for events, etc.). I'm not sure what their opening date is, but I believe he's getting the truck today.

Dougies, oh wow! Now I'll have to visit B'more more often!! (We hope to move there, either when my job moves to the area in a few years, or if I can find a job there earlier.) My wife came from Boro Park, we eat at Dougies almost ever time we go up. Thanks for the great news, although now my mouth is already watering, thinking of their beef ribs.

And I thought Subway was good news.

Agree with jdmdad. This is great for Baltimore to be getting all these choices. A "moving" Dougies will be great for events and will put a hurt on kosher bite immediately. I will still put many more eggs into the new Subway basket but am thrilled to know I can get those ribs when my health consciousness takes a hit :)
