R. Teichman Leaving TA - This Time, For Real
SoccerDad posts that R. Teichman is leaving TA. No word yet on his replacement, although R. Fuchs will be filling in in the mean time.
There's much, much more to talk about regarding the bigger picture of the shifting educational landscape of the Baltimore Jewish community. Perhaps this week, time permitting.
Much to say on this. I presume that Rabbi Fuchs will be the permanent sucessor (v'hamavin yavin).
TA has totally lost any sense of vision. It is constantly chasing the shadow of Ner Israel, not realizing that it will NEVER be Ner Israel. (If parents wanted Ner Israel, they'd send their kids there). So, they are nisht a hein, nisht a hehr. In this process, they have discounted their role in the community in servicing a segment which now goes elsewhere.
In this sense, Rabbi Teichman will be a bigger loss for the community than for TA, where others in control haved tried to tell him how to do his job.
