PULL!

I went Skeet Shooting last Sunday (for, um, Mother's Day?). First time I shot a gun, unless you count the .22 I used for riflery at Camp Airy in 5th grade - which, after having shot a 12 gauge, I don't. I was pretty pathetic, but towards the end I managed to hit a few. It's a pretty good feeling when you hit one. My entire right side is sore today, I'm expecting bruises later in the week. It was totally worth it.

Thanks to JS, and Pete, our host. Good times.

Gregers:

Great photos.

For all those who think that the shotgun is pointed at the guy in the third picture, its not. think 2 dimensional.

(Had to cavet it before my wife saw them and freaked out)

Actually, I am proud of you....proud that you put on the headphones so you can preserve your hearing! And proud that you went and tried it and could admit that you did a not-so-great job.
That rifle is a lot longer than I imagined it would be.

RE: 4th picture. Truthfully, not really worried about getting hit considering Petey's performance during the prior two go rounds. Now, if he wasn't aiming for me, then i would be worried.

Welcome to the redneck club! Now all you have to do is make some Hillbilly Homebrew and you'll be a full fledged member.

I've gone skeet (and trap!) shooting several times, and it truly is a lot of fun. If you ever go again, try shooting a 20 gauge shotgun instead of 12-gauge. It's got less of a kick (kind of like shooting a 9mm vs. a .44

Just curious, which range did you go to?
