Orthodox Apprentice - Episode 1 Recap

So let's recap episode #1 of The Apprentice. As you may recall, the latest installment of The Apprentice with Donald Trump features two Jews (aside, of course, from George) with Orthodox backgrounds, Daniel Brody and Lee Bienstock. Both Daniel and Lee ended up on the same team, Gold Rush. Team Gold Rush lost the challenge and ended up in the board room. While Dan made it back to the suite safely, Lee ended up in the board room, but wasn't fired.

If I had to compare, Daniel looked very confident and presented himself well. Lee looked very nervous and, at times, unsure of himself, but did a good job sticking up for himself in the board room.

Nothing of a Jewish nature came up on the show this week, and neither Lee nor Daniel sported a yarmulka on the show. Hopefully we'll see more next time. Make sure to check back next week!

Theoretically, if either frum people do win, would it be good news for the Jews? Isn't the #1 stereotype of the Jewish people that we are cold-hearted, bloodthirsty capitalists? Sure it would be cool to see a frum person win on a TV show, but in light of current events (Abramoff), would it be such a good thing?

Jack-I always felt like it would have been a horrible thing for the Jews had the Gore/Lieberman ticket won the 2000 election. I personally don't think it will be a big deal for the Jews if one wins the Apprentice. Just my opinion.

While I don't think it's a bad thing so much for the Jews if one wins, I hate The Apprentice. It exemplifies every value that I hope I never get caught up in, and glamorizes cut throat competetiveness. I hate Donald Trump, he is a money hungry jerk. Reality TV sucks.
