Presence

A recent Google search for "greg gershman" returned a new result I hadn't seen before - a d'var Torah I wrote in high school for an NCSY internet newsletter. It is absolutely crazy what Google digs up. Scary.

A side note, that is an interesting piece I wrote. I'm pretty sure I was copying straight from The Midrash Says. Last year, after learning Hagigah, I wrote a paper exploring the relationship between Torah, Regel and Jewish unity. Some of the ideas contained in the Midrashim from high school fit nicely with the ideas from that paper. I'd post the paper, but I'm not convinced I believe what I wrote anymore. We'll see.

A side note: Benj and I are neck-in-neck in the Google race. I was ahead for a while, with ~340 results, but Google seems to have reindexed and dropped me down to the 230 range. I'd write Benj's full name, but then he would get another page hit. Suffice it to say, he's my younger, much more famous brother. Except on the web, baby.
